Two Major Milestones Established Simultaneously

Sister Chapter Alliance

NACUAA Northern California, Silicon Valley, North Carolina, and Greater Washington DC chapters officially form a Sister Chapter Alliance.

ZJUAANC Strategic Expansion

Zhejiang University Alumni Association of North Carolina (ZJUAANC) expands its strategic partnership across all four chapters nationwide.

On September 12, 2026 (Saturday, Lunar August 2nd), a historic milestone was achieved for cross-regional collegiate alumni collaboration in North America: NACUAA Northern California, Silicon Valley, North Carolina, and Greater Washington DC chapters formally resolved to enter into a Sister Chapter Alliance.

On the same day, Zhejiang University Alumni Association of North Carolina (ZJUAANC) established an official strategic partnership with all four chapters. Previously, ZJUAANC collaborated predominantly with the North Carolina chapter; through this strategic expansion, collaboration now extends across Northern California, Silicon Valley, North Carolina, and Greater Washington DC to serve alumni across regions.

The Four Sister Chapters

Covering four major technology, innovation, academic, and economic powerhouses in North America:

Northern California Chapter President: Michael Huo

Three Core Strategic Pillars

The alliance is founded on three mutual commitments:

1. Connecting Activities

Regularly co-hosting and cross-promoting academic forums, tech webinars, entrepreneurship workshops, and community events across both coasts.

2. Sharing Resources

Fully opening club networks including AI Club (/ai), Guandan Club (/guandan), Run & Hike Club (/run), Music Club (/music), Pickleball Club (/pickleball), and Golf Club (/golf).

3. Supporting Alumni

Establishing mutual-aid channels for alumni relocating across regions, new graduates entering the job market, mentoring, and cross-state career development.

ZJU Alumni Association of NC: Strategic Expansion

Zhejiang University Alumni Association of North Carolina (zjuaanc.org), founded in 2012, has long championed innovation and academic excellence in the Research Triangle.

Building upon strong prior joint initiatives—such as the AI-Native Agent Security series, Physical AI lectures, and the 1st North American Chinese AI Music Competition—this agreement elevates the partnership into an integrated four-chapter alliance.

Looking Ahead

Chapter presidents Michael Huo (NorCal), Dr. Qilei Peng (Silicon Valley), Rose Li (North Carolina), Bin Liu (Greater Washington DC), and ZJUAANC leadership jointly expressed confidence that this milestone bridges regions and provides alumni with broader opportunities for growth, entrepreneurship, and camaraderie.
